Summer 2011 events

A few events coming up. See you at something.

Twilight Tuesday is on hiatus until August, but if you want to keep the party going then check out Climatron & Cocktails tomorrow.

Climatron and Cocktails - A Missouri Botanical Garden Young Friends event with St. Louis Public Radion Young Friends
$15 for MoBot or KWMU Members, $30 for non-members (food & specialty cocktails included in the price)

Shakespeare in the Park is going on til Sunday June 19. Taming of the Shrew is the play this year and it is set to a 1950's theme. I thought it was pretty good. Check it out, any night but Tuesday. Pack your picnic baskets, wine, blankets and chairs. Free, family friendly.

Jungle Boogie - Free, Friday Nights concerts at the Zoo. fammily friendly. Every Friday this summer til Labor, expect this Friday June 17 for Zoofari - another event worth checking out. ($175 person for Young Zoo Friends - fundraiser for the Zoo featuring the O'Jays and Griffin & the Gargoyles as entertainment).

Saturday, June 18th from 4p-7p
Griot Garden Party ...this is a fundraiser for the Black History Museum and costs $50 to attend. The Garden party theme is a tea and ask ladies to wear a hat.

Wednesday, June 22 afterwork til 9:00 pm
Whitaker Music Festival kicks off next week. Free, outdoor concerts at the Missouri Botanical Garden. This is a summer tradition. Free addition tot he Garden after 5 including the Children's Garden. Pack a picnic and bring chairs, blanket. Family friendly.
