Women in Science Meeting/Social
If you or someone you know is a female who works/interested in the Sciences (research, industry, academia, natural sciences, computer sciences, math, and engineering fields), I would like to invite you to check out the Association for Women in Science (AWIS). The local chapter is presently recruiting interested individuals.
The meeting / social is on Sunday, November 19th, 7 pm at 7436 University Drive in U City 63130accessible by the Forsyth Metro Stop. The directions are: Hanley north from Forsyth, Right on Pershing, Quick right on Mission , Quick left on University Drive .
They recently completed a huge event, Women in Science Day at Washington University and are trying to expand their events calendar, so this might be a good time to get involved.

RCP networking group (www.rivercityprofessionals.org) is throwing one of their most important happy hours of the year: Their 5th annual Toy Drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri!
When: Tuesday, November 21st - 5:30pm - 9:00pm.
Where: Mandarin, the first rooftop lounge to open in the Central West End bringing together traditional and contemporary décor elements to create a chic Asian-inspired look - 44 Maryland Plaza
Toy Drive Benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern MO - Bring a toy and get a free drink ticket!All toys will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri and we request that your toy be for a child 10 and older. (I’ve been a BBBS mentor for over three years and it is a fantastic organization. I ask that you consider donating an educational toy such as a book or strategic game.) Dining Out for Life is the premier fundraiser for Saint Louis EFFORT FOR AIDS and “THE EXCELLENT RESTAURANT” will be donating a minimum of 25% of your bill to this worthy organization. Saint Louis EFFORT FOR AIDS provides education of prevention of HIV infection and comprehensive support services to those affected by HIV/AIDS.
