The accessibility of quality health care as well as basic scientific and medical information played a major role in the life of Lacks. Both the historical barriers to health care and current access to health care for all will be discussed as introduced in the best selling book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.

Free admission, but cash only bar. It's an old-school juke-joint, complete with the juke box stocked full of R&B, Blues, and Soul Music Classic artists like Johnnie Taylor, Betty Wright, Stevie Wonder, and Aretha Franklin.


Come celebrate and toast to a great year - this one and the one to come.
